Human Artistry Micro-grants — Pilot Round
The artistic process behind most art - whether it's writing, music, poetry, animation, scoring, etc. - is being rapidly eroded by AI, and no one seems to really be doing anything about it. So…
We’re awarding 20 microgrants of $250 to artists across disciplines -- provided they create something made without AI, and at the end of the year, we're putting on a massive fundraiser/showcase of everyone's work, saying, "hey, look at how many incredible things we made, and how many people we brought together because of it. We should do more of this! Yay art!"
And yes, we know that $250 is not a life-changing amount of money, but this is our very first time doing something like this, and we're trying to do something, artist to artist, that can inspire a difference with our very limited resources. And hopefully, this will be the first of many rounds (with bigger grants as well).
Selected artists will receive:
1) $250
2) 30 days to make a single piece of art
3) The opportunity to participate in a future Human Artistry Showcase & Fundraiser
This round is intentionally small, so please don’t be discouraged if you are not selected. And if you're interested in contributing work to the Human Artistry Showcase without financial support, you are more than welcome to submit here as well. If you know of other artists in the LA area who might be interested in something like this, please send it their way!
